waves
of kilohertz and megahertz
sounding, pounding
through your body
‘til it hurts
I can hear your
pain
of kilohertz and megahertz
sounding, pounding
through your body
‘til it hurts
I can hear your
pain

ReplyDeletesometimes you cant see pain- but you can hear it...in their faces, their body language- pain can be so siletn sometimes- but those atuned to it can hear it clearly.
ReplyDeleteTwice when I was a teen I felt the full fury of 220 shock, okay maybe only 110, but holy cow it got my attention. It was in my parents' basement. There was some water on the floor by the big old chest freezer and OUCH when I touched the appliance. Never did it a 3rd time!! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely simple beautiful poem.
Oh, yeah, it rings right through the skin. Glad to see you out and about, Pat. :>)
