True North

 I do not have my bearings
on this monday morning sea;
like drunken sailors waking
in a fog, stupidity.

My little boat, it flounders
in sure uncertainty;
and now I find it storming
with tumult that must be.

Still, I must, become with you
as one becomes a “we”
and there I am in awe  of you,
master of the sea.

  4. Pat, have I ever mentioned how much I like the way words roll around in your head and then float out onto the page?

    Because I do. I like it very much.

    1. =) Thanks Lyla. I thought of you today as I passed a really cool field with those huge hay rolls that look like the old shredded wheat biscuits. I chuckled as I realized I left my camaera at home. Do cameras count as stuff?
